Smoked Restaurant and Oyster Bar made its home near the corner of Main and Blanding Streets with a menu unique to their name and a dining experience brought to life by Specialty Woodworks.
Specialty Woodworks' services included engineering, fabrication, and installation throughout the space. Our scope of work consisted of millwork, bars and countertops, vanities, stairs, and metalwork.
One of the feature areas of Smoked is the Oyster Bar. Our engineers designed the curved Corian® quartz countertop to be installed in four segments and field seamed to create a continuous appearance. In addition, tempered glass guards with brass trim were added to the food prep counters, brass clad kick-plates, and tubular brass footrests were installed.
The main dining room's 48-foot bar grabs your attention with modern-day elegance and Art Deco-styled back bar. Our team built the poplar stile and rail bar fronts at our facility and then hung them with french cleats at the job site. On a smaller scale, the same bar design was also used in the lounge area. Corian® Valente Pearl quartz countertops provided an attractive, easy-to-clean nonporous surface for the main, lounge, and private dining bars.
The main bar features two back bars nestled into coveys framed by polished brass jambs. The lower casework provides concealed storage areas behind doors fabricated with laminate cladding. The quartz countertop supports brass ladder frame shelving constructed of maple veneers with recessed LED light strips.
The lounge bar back bar comprises open casework built with maple veneers and solids. The shelving provides storage, as well as display openings.
The Speak Easy bar is hidden at the bottom of the maple staircase and landing. The bar has a distinctive look with Bellingham quartz tops and a back bar with a maple pilaster for storage.
The restroom vanities take on a floating appearance with their mitered quartz countertops and aprons. The tops were customized in-house with sink drop-ins and finished openings for trash disposal.
A lot goes into what we do and how we do it. Meet the team that makes it happen.
