Kiawah River Club, one of the newest developments on Johns Island, is nestled within 2,000 acres of pastoral waterfront along the Kiawah River. The Spring House & Swim Club is a part of the Kiawah River offerings to homeowners for a place to exercise, relax, and enjoy time with friends.
The scope of our work involved engineering, fabricating, and installing teak wood with teak oil, for a natural finish.
The first area of work was in the outdoor reception area. The reception desk consists of Extira® for the doors and marine-grade lumber as the base material. For the doors, continuous grain, tongue and groove teak planks covers the doors. The desk front is covered with full length teak boards on the exterior facing side. The countertop is made of solid teak to complete the look and all had teak oil applied for the finish.
The dairy bar front wall matches the exterior reception desk with the same tongue and groove teak wood planks. A teak oil finish completes the look and protects against the outdoor elements.
The teak wood countertop is the highlight of the poolside bar. The countertop’s base construction consisted of metal bar brackets and marine-grade plywood. The teak boards were applied, sanded, and sealed. The edges were created with mitered drops for a crisp sharp appearance of thick solid teak countertops.
A lot goes into what we do and how we do it. Meet the team that makes it happen.
