Located in Winnsboro, SC, the Fairfield Trauma Center is comprised of 12,000-sf dedicated to emergency services, featuring six exam rooms, two trauma rooms, an onsite laboratory, and imaging services such as CT scan, ultrasound, and x-ray.
Following direction from the architects and the general contractor, we engineered, built, and installed the visitors’ check-in desk, nurses' station, and technician stations. Casework and cabinetry was custom-built for the exam rooms, trauma rooms, laboratory, and imaging areas. The nurses' station is the central point of the medical treatment.
Materials were selected to provide low-maintenance and an easy-to-clean environment. Cabinets and casework were manufactured in-house using plastic laminate cladding. Stations and desk areas were constructed of the same material, along with acrylic solid surfaces for countertops.
The nurse’s station, comprised of the same materials, included additional design work by the architect. The outward-facing panels were individually cut and edge-banded, creating an inner-connected block appearance instead of a flat surface with no dimension.
A lot goes into what we do and how we do it. Meet the team that makes it happen.
