Lexington Medical Center converted a floor in the North Wing Tower into the Endoscopy Center. The new floor layout provided an operational flow from pre-op, procedure, and post-op.
Our scope of work included the check-in station, staff office, pre-op area, procedure rooms, post-op area, manometry room, scope room, decontamination room, restrooms, and the staff break area. We provided workstations, work counters, cabinetry, and casework as needed in each area.
Most healthcare environments are harsh on interior furnishings and require durable materials to meet the day-to-day challenges.
Specialty Woodworks engineered and fabricated the work stations using plastic laminate encapsulation with continuous grain wild cherry fronts and black laminate reveals around the die-wall construction. Doors and cabinet drawer facings were also manufactured with matching plastic laminates. Countertops also were produced in-house using plastic laminates and PVC edging throughout the space. Plastic laminates are scratch and stain resistant with no high maintenance requirements.
A lot goes into what we do and how we do it. Meet the team that makes it happen.
