The executive level of the BCBS of South Carolina headquarters required a fresh look. The design team provided Specialty Woodworks with their vision. We provided a complete project solution for the Executive Level entranceways, foyer, dining area, and conference room. The scope of work included design and engineering, fabrication in-house, and onsite installation.
Beautiful quarter-sawn sapele wall panels, with brass accents and reveals, produced a warm environment in the dining and conference rooms.
Sapele stave core doors were custom-built using stile and rail construction. Entranceway doors featured a single privacy lite panel to create an open and brighter environment. The unique conference room doors include sapele veneers on the exterior side and teak veneers on the interior to match the existing teak conference room table. Custom brass door pulls were included on all the doors and surrounded with floor-to-ceiling door casings with baseboard trim throughout the executive space.
Credenzas, media center cabinets, and the podium were created using teak veneers and solids with brass accents, reveals, and pulls matching the entry doors. Quartz tops created an elegant contrast to the wood finish and provided a low-maintenance durable counter surface.
