Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital design teams understood healthcare excellence begins with patient experience. Parkridge was designed to produce a sense of comfort and assurance of the best medical care. Faith is an important part of healing and coping. Specialty Woodworks helped accomplish the design of the Baptist Parkridge Chapel to provide a place of comfort for family and patients.
On the second floor, the Chapel’s semi-translucent wall provides privacy while allowing light to filter in. The wall was built using 3Form textured panels with colored acrylic resin panels, on offset mounts, attached to the exterior side. The wood sections of the wall were created with cherry veneers - matching the wall paneling throughout. The Chapel’s floating ceiling is made with matching cherry veneers and provides an aesthetic quality with recessed lighting.
